+## Story
+
+Richard "Pat" Patrick Meyers received this shotgun as a gift from his father Richard Howard Meyers
+when Pat was 13 years old (~1960).
+For years after, Pat made much of his income selling game harvested with it.
+According to Pat, the gun paid for his first dates with his wife of 65 years (as of 2025)
+Rosemary Meyers née Wilson.
+
+Pat gave the shotgun to his grandson Zane Davis Meyers on Thanksgiving Day, 2025-11-28.
+This story was reported by Pat the same day with the giving of the gift,
+and transcribed by Zane the morning after (2025-11-28).
+
+Pat purchased a similar model (identical except made in Japan)
+and gifted it to his son Steven Patrick Meyers when Steven was 16 years old (~1975).
+Steven still retains the shotgun as of the writing of this article.
