+A few minutes ago I asked Joel about [[units-takeoff|unit takeoff]],
+specifically if I should provide a GFI for each bathroom
+even if the receptacles are on the same circuit,
+which he confirmed.
+
+I was pleased at his response,
+since it appeals to my sensibilities as electrician and estimator:
+* A receptacle downstream of a GFI in another room is a bad install,
+    since it is unintuitive and inconvenient to troubleshoot.
+* Because of the previous,
+    the EC may end up paying for the extra GFI's anyway,
+    either because of a missed specification, contract clause, etc.
+    or because production may assume they are required.
+

+Joel commented that he is always glad
+when he is able to give me directions
+that I'm happy to receive.
+
+I didn't acknowledge the comment at first,
+but now I wonder at the implication.
+I don't want to be a downer
+or a difficult person to give feedback.
