For years after, Pat made much of his income selling game harvested with it. According to Pat, the gun paid for his first dates with his wife of 65 years (as of 2025) Rosemary Meyers née Wilson. Pat gave the shotgun to his grandson Zane Davis Meyers on Thanksgiving Day, 2025-11-28. This story was reported by Pat the same day with the giving of the gift, and transcribed by Zane the morning after (2025-11-28). Pat purchased a similar model (identical except made in Japan) and gifted it to his son Steven Patrick Meyers when Steven was 16 years old (~1975). Steven still retains the shotgun as of the writing of this article.
