### Florida Considerations
#### Building Codes
8th Edition Florida codes (2023)
are based on 2021 I-Codes.
#### Site Poles
Expect direct burial poles in Florida.
Southeast and Florida exclude concrete in proposals,
Florida usually considers site pole foundations excluded in this,
Southeast does not.
#### Construction Type and Wiring Method Selection
South Florida gardens may be concrete for hurricane resistance
but [[ibc-construction-types#Type III Combustible|type III construction]].
Romex is allowed in this case.
#### Automatically Controlled Receptacles
Florida Building Code does not require automatically controlled receptacles

#### Fire Alarm Inspections
South Florida fire alarm inspections are conducted at night:
+20% of fire alarm budget for overtime.
### 520Hz Smoke Detectors
The 120V 520Hz smoke detectors qualified in the proposal
are limited source (Home Depot).
No change to takeoff necessary.
Josh changed the name and pricing of the item in the extension.
### Post-Tensioned Slab Considerations
In a 6in post-tensioned slab
other than fixture branch and floorboxes
may not be feasible to run in deck,
especially subfeeds.

In the WBS,
1 (Site) does not have EL or FA breakdowns.

go in Site Misc.
### Rigid Elbows for Secondaries
PVC elbows in secondaries

* Elbows were RMC, the takeoff name was not changed.
### Panel Schedule Error
EV charger breakers were erroneously shown as 20A on some panel schedules.
(Should be 80A)
### Fixture Branch Length
Fixture branch length tighter for Gardens.
Josh shortened some 20fts to 15ft.

Unit sqft * 1.5
800sqft unit = 1200ft cable per unit
in whole job, not just unit.
"True Garden" feeders about \$150 per unit.
This is not a "true Garden".

The Bid Sheet was initially a temporary measure for COVID.
Usually large delta in units if "Unit Tabulation" sheet is not utilized.
### Breakdowns for Remote Horn/Strobes in Units
Remote strobes in units were erroneously taken off in `System` = "EL - Electrical".
The correct `System` is "FA - Fire Alarm".
[[units-takeoff]] had the correct direction for this case at the time of takeoff,
but I was not meaningfully consulting the note.
### Labor Plan
Count of bathroom exhaust fans per unit
is usually one less than smokes
Do not consider data outlets in above openings per unit.
Labor Plan:
"Amenity" is Interior Amenity.
Put Exterior Amenity in "Other".
Excavation is covered by site work increase labor factor.
